Product refers to the tangible good and an intangible service offered by the organization that meets with the needs or demand of the specific customers. Every product follows a product life cycle, every marketer needs to understand that at which stage their product is situated in this cycle and should manoeuvre for the various stages and their challenges. An organization requires studying the benefits offered by the products, the features and unique selling proposition of the product. For instance, McDonalds always puts emphasis on the market research and identify that what their customers exactly want and create a menu accordingly. The requirements change with the time. So McDonalds keeps introducing the new food items and phased out the old ones. Like in India, McDonalds has focused on serving more vegetarian items since most of the Indian consumers are primarily vegetarian. The new product, happy meal offered by the McDonalds has become very popular among children. Price is the amount that customers have to exchange in order to receive the offering (Borden & Marshall, 1959). While fixing the pricing of the product, some factors, such as the demand of the product, the cost of the production, the consumer’s ability to pay, government regulations and the competitors’ product price are considered. This sole purpose of this practice is to analyze the perceive value of the product. If the product price is higher or lower, the organization will have to face both the situation. For example, McDonalds has divided its wide range of the products in groups such as Brand core Value Products (BCV) and branded affordability (BA).
