Generally the smaller organizations adopt informal approach in which employee and his manager are mutually agreed upon the goals and objectives (Brown, 1992). Larger organizations generally have formal feedback or appraisal system in which all the goals and objectives are documented properly. During the inductions process employees should be communicated about theirs goals and objectives and at the end of the induction process they need to be aware of their roles and responsibilities which are expected from them during their job period. The major purpose of the performance management system is to ensure that if the employee is performing his roles and duties efficiently and if the employee is able to contribute in the growth of the organization or not. Employee first set their goals for the specific period of time by discussing with their managers and at the end of the period managers evaluate the performance of the employees and rate them on the basis of some specific criteria (Griffor, 2001).
