The major purpose of the performance management system is to ensure that if the employee is performing his roles and duties efficiently and if the employee is able to contribute in the growth of the organization or not. Employee first set their goals for the specific period of time by discussing with their managers and at the end of the period managers evaluate the performance of the employees and rate them on the basis of some specific criteria (Griffor, 2001).
